Asphalt Elasticity Modulus Comparison Using Modified Laboratory LWD Against UMMATA Method

چکیده
Highway consultants need pavement structure strength to examine and design. With advances in computer, sensor, microelectronic technologies, the light weight deflectometer (LWD) can measure granular asphalt layers. This portable, easy-to-use tool is suggested. article was designed improve LWD Pusjatan's accuracy distinguish it from other testing methods. study compares Pusjatan UMMATA (Universal Material Testing Apparatus) methods for measuring modulus of elasticity on different materials. Boussinesq elastic theory used compute most LWDs. In a semi-elastic environment, connection between pressure displacement rigid or flexible basis. The deflection value derived process vibrations caused by load delivered given height onto test item, with wave/vibration collected an acceleration instrument, such as geophone accelerometer. provided AUDL (Laboratory Deflection Test Equipment) method less than that produced method. According results, average AC Base material 7.52% Base. BC just over 0.3%. These results indicate more necessary when using methodology detect correlations might serve basis comparison. Thus, may be nondestructive technique. kind non-destructive technique should frequently so simulations field circumstances are accurate. Doi: 10.28991/CEJ-2022-08-06-012 Full Text: PDF

Hot Mix Asphalt Dynamic Modulus Prediction Using Kernel Machines
This paper explores the feasibility of applying support vector regression (SVR) kernel-based supervised learning method to develop hot mix asphalt (HMA) dynamic modulus (|E*|) predictive models. SVR-based prediction models were developed using the latest comprehensive |E*| database that is available to the researchers. The SVR model predictions were compared with the existing regression-based p...
متن کاملPolymer Modified Asphalt Emulsion
In road paving industry, asphalt emulsion is used for cold mix application such as chip seal, slurry seal, microsurfacing, cold recycled mixture and etc. Asphalt emulsion has several advantages compared to normal asphalt such as eco-friendly, easy to handle at ambient temperature and energy saving material because it does not need any heating process in its application. The history of asphalt e...
متن کاملA Nitsche extended finite element method for incompressible elasticity with discontinuous modulus of elasticity
In this note we propose a finite element method for incompressible (or compressible) elasticity problems with discontinuous modulus of elasticity (or, if compressible, Poisson’s ratio). The problem is written on mixed form using P 1–continuous displacements and the space of piecewise P 0 pressures, leading to the possibility of eliminating the pressure beforehand in the compressible case. In th...
متن کاملModeling of Resilient Modulus of Asphalt Concrete Containing Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement using Feed-Forward and Generalized Regression Neural Networks
Reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) is one of the waste materials that highway agencies promote to use in new construction or rehabilitation of highways pavement. Since the use of RAP can affect the resilient modulus and other structural properties of flexible pavement layers, this paper aims to employ two different artificial neural network (ANN) models for modeling and evaluating the effects of ...
متن کاملDevelopment of Recycled-Modified Asphalt Using Basalt Aggregate
With the strengthened regulation on the mandatory use of recycled aggregate, development of construction materials using recycled aggregate has recently increased. This study aimed to secure the performance of asphalt concrete mixture by developing recycled-modified asphalt using recycled basalt aggregate from the Jeju area. The strength of the basalt aggregate from the Jeju area used in this s...
